This workshop aims to provide an induction to understanding and using scenarios. This workshop will be conducted in a central London venue.
If, like us, you believe that a time of crisis is also an opportunity, why not understand how scenarios can be an invaluable tool for success.
Uncertainties, crises and opportunities are current and long term issues. These issues constitute complex and multi-dimensional problems, the magnitude of which have continued to outpace global efforts (think for example about global epidemics, possible climate change impacts, extremism / terrorism, ageing populations, as well as a range of unexpected but high-impact events).
Understanding the present and the future is a necessity for any modern business or organisation. Understanding the use of scenarios from a range of sectors, enables a closer appreciation of how futures thinking can assist strategy, planning and preparedness thanks to the competitive edge provided by scenarios.
In this workshop you will:
* Develop an understanding for what scenarios are and how to use them.
* Appreciate how alternative futures will help you understand the present.
* Understand how scenarios should be central to developing a strategy.
* Appreciate the differences between scenarios, models and other "forecasting" methodologies.
