Following six years of successful workshops with the London School of Economics (LSE), Scenario Development now offers a communication and health scenario workshop!
Scenario building – planning for the future in communication and health, a tool for political and socio-economic dialogue.
London, Apri 18-19, 2011
The future of health presents a multifaceted, long-term problem, with the peculiarity of a quickly changing environment. The modern society has a growing concern with the development of diseases and epidemics and the socio-economic and political worlds are deeply involved with these changes. Effective communication and ‘the communication tool’, the media, are one important driver in the development of future health. Their impact on health and modern society is of paramount importance.
Scenarios are not only a knowledge exchange and communication tool, but facilitate research, focus, clarify and create a common language and network.
The selective workshop is aimed at senior professionals in the private and public sectors, and NGOs. The workshop aims at creating an understanding of the use of scenarios, by guiding participants through a reduced scenario practice-run. By understanding how to use existing and new scenarios participants will be able to better utilise the daily changes of modern society to their advantage; and by understanding how to read scenarios people will be more aware of these changes. The sessions will be very interactive and strengthened by the high-caliber of experienced and skilled participants.
Benefits: Perceptions and understanding of the epidemic change over time. It is critical to understand these changes because we live in a world that is in constant flux.
Who should attend: This is a short and sharp briefing of the main insights and of the competitive advantage gained through building and using scenarios. As such the briefing is aimed at senior professionals from the public and private sectors, NGOs, Multilateral organisations and academia.
When: This workshop will be held on the LSE campus on April 18-19, 2011. The sessions run from 9.30am to about 5.00pm on both days.
Deadline and registration details: March 21, 2011. Registrations after this date can only be considered under special circumstances.
The registration workshop fee is €780.
